    Re: Trash the dress

i did it! it was so much fun and we got some great shots. unfortunately, my husband hurt his back the morning of the wedding so we couldn't take as many pictures in the water as i would have liked because his back was hurting him. everyone thought i was nuts going in the water with my dress but they are some of my favorite pictures. i like the steamy ones, like this. i'd like to make a book of our trash session, almost like a boudoir book, but it is photos of both of us.

thank you!!! i loved it! my dress wasn't "trashed" either. i put it out on the balcony to dry and shook the sand out the next day. i even did another photo shoot at home 2 months later in my dress and it looked perfect in the pictures. i loved the fun aspect of the trash the dress shoots!

    Re: Trash the dress

I have never heard of "trash the dress" activities. Sounds very cool but how can you just trash something you just spent hundreds of dollars on? My inner pinney pincher is issuing an alarm! I had a hard enough time that you will only wear the dress once, but if you preserve it, your daughter might want to wear it. Ruining it doesn't sound like something I would do.

    Re: Trash the dress

My dress was not trashed. After it dried I was able to shake the sand out and it was back to the way it was before the photo shoot. I did a boudoir photo shoot a few months later and used my dress in the pictures and the dress looked as good as new. Another option for trash the dress pictures is to buy a different white dress for your pictures, one that you wouldn't mind ruining if it did happen.
