Thread: rooftop or beach?

    rooftop or beach?

I think we've narrowed down our options to one of the Azul resorts but now we're trying to decide if we want to be married on the beach or pay for a rooftop ceremony. Both are unique and memorable, which is what we want. I made a list of pros and cons and they are about equal, so that didn't help much. What do you think has more of the wow factor?

We are going beach! Although I do really like the rooftop locations too!

I plan on getting married on the beach, but having a wooden aisle, like planks, that I was walk down so I can wear heels. Seemed like the perfect compromise. I think most places I looked at had portable aisles like this.

Oh I LOVE the rooftop! This location offers so much more privacy along with the beautiful ocean view and cool breezes!

I really love the beach but all that sand in everything! I guess the option mentioned above about the wooden walkway is valid enough but what about the other guests. They still have to walk on sand and it gets everywhere. We opted for a very casual setting so the beach was great! We took advantage of the sureal sunset and had a beach party after as our reception. Turned out great and everyone had a goodtime. I'm sure that good resorts will have some kind of compromise for people who still want formal.

If you are going really formal, I think that I would opt for the rooftop. As Skylar said, the sand is a problem for a beach wedding and formal ones especially. Women wear heels and that is not very good in the sand. I'm sure they would endure it for you, but I would consider the alternative.

Both the locations are unique, but I personally feel having the ceremony on the beach is truly blissful. I mean one can decorate the surrounding in a such a way that the ambience truly feels romantic. Similar was my sister's wedding. It was her plan to have a beach wedding, and she even asked the guest to come in swimsuits. For her bridesmaid, she had ordered swimsuits from Dollboxx and all were looking fabulous. My sister wore a light pink gown with a tiara made of white flowers. Truly a wedding to remember.
