Thread: 2 wedding dresses

    2 wedding dresses

Has anyone done 2 dresses? Like one for the ceremony and then change into a different one for the reception? We're pretty sure we'll be getting married in Mexico on the beach. I think I want more of a traditional wedding dress look for the ceremony, but then get into something cooler and more beachy for the reception and dancing. Would it be more of a hassle to go change dresses?

I have seen a few brides do this! Sometimes you have a little down time between your ceremony and your reception where you could go change dresses quick and no one would notice.

I am going to do 2 dresses because I am going to "trash the dress" with one!

Makes perfect sense to me. Having the more formal one for the ceremony is just what I would do. My problem would be what to wear at the beach. Do you go shorter (the sand issue)? Shoes on the beach would be another problem for me. How do you keep looking really nice with beach shoes on?

I actually plant to do this too. I do want one more formal dress, however I don't want to be bothered by it after the ceremony. It's less of hassle for me to change dresses than to stay in the formal one through everything.

I have a dress for the wedding in Mexico, and another dress for our reception at home.

Hey, if all the rich and famous people can have wardrobe changes, we can, too, ya'll! How about one dress for the rehearsal party, one for the ceremony and then one for the reception?
